Finance, Accounting & Tax (FAT) Manager
Bali - Full Time, On Site - Finance
We are seeking an experienced, highly analytical, and hands-on Finance, Accounting & Tax (FAT) Manager to join House of Om in Bali.
In this role, you will take ownership of the company’s Finance, Accounting, and Tax operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective payment and budget controls, tax compliance, and strong financial governance across the business.
This is a leadership position for someone who is not only technically strong in finance and accounting, but also capable of improving systems, strengthening internal controls, developing the team, and providing reliable financial insights to support management decisions.
Organizational Structure & Reporting Line
This position works closely with the Finance Director and is responsible for leading and developing the Finance, Accounting, and Tax team.
You will coordinate regularly with the Finance Director regarding cash flow, budgeting, financial performance, and significant financial matters, while ensuring that day-to-day finance operations are executed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and approval procedures.
The FAT Manager is expected to work collaboratively with internal departments, Purchasing, external tax and accounting consultants, and other relevant stakeholders to maintain strong financial controls across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Finance, Accounting & Tax Operations
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day Finance, Accounting, and Tax functions.
- Review and approve payment documents that have been reviewed by Senior Accounting before payment processing.
- Sign payment vouchers in accordance with the company’s approval authority.
- Review and approve Purchase Requests from Purchasing before purchases are processed.
- Ensure financial transactions are properly documented, controlled, and processed in accordance with company procedures.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead the annual budgeting and financial planning process.
- Monitor monthly budget realization and investigate significant variances.
- Provide clear financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making.
- Coordinate with the Finance Director regarding cash flow, budgets, financial performance, and significant financial issues.
Financial Reporting & Closing
- Review monthly financial statements and supporting financial analysis.
- Oversee accounting closing activities and ensure reporting deadlines are achieved.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial information.
- Support effective financial reporting across the organization.
Tax & Compliance
- Review tax calculations, reports, and overall tax compliance.
- Ensure tax-related processes and documentation are properly maintained.
- Coordinate with external tax and accounting consultants when required.
- Support the company in maintaining appropriate financial and tax compliance standards.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Develop, review, and continuously improve financial SOPs and internal controls.
- Identify weaknesses or inefficiencies within existing financial processes and recommend practical improvements.
- Strengthen payment, purchasing, budgeting, accounting, and reporting controls.
- Promote consistent implementation of financial procedures across relevant departments.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop Finance, Accounting, and Tax team members.
- Provide clear direction, guidance, and professional support to the team.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, accountability, integrity, and timely execution.
- Build effective collaboration between Finance and other departments.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional Experience: Minimum 6–8 years of Finance or Accounting experience, including supervisory or managerial experience.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting, taxation, budgeting, and internal controls.
Familiar with accounting and ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management capability.
Detail-oriented with a high level of integrity and accountability.
Good English communication skills.
Experience handling multi-entity consolidation reports is highly valued.
Brevet A & B Tax Certification is highly preferred.
Comfortable using technology and interested in utilizing AI and data automation, including APIs, to improve Finance and Accounting processes.
Willing to be based in Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia.
